Wow, isn't Stepmania great? Yes of course but now you want to use a playstaion dance mat controller don't you?
After researching UK stockists I came up with PSXSpares & Whole Sale Mods, (They're the same company), I had no problems when I ordered from them.
Order the "EMS USB 2" converter (Mine is a black one) and a suitable Playstation DancePad (If you havn't already got one).
When it arrives, plug your dance pad into the PSX->USB converter (to stop it from getting confused it's also recommended to shove another playstation pad in the other port as well), then plug the converter into a USB port.
Windows will notify you that is has detected a new device.
If you are prompted to install drivers, follow the instructions that came with your converter.
Verify that all of the pad's buttons are working by opening Control Panel, the double-clicking the item "Game Controllers". The USB converter should be listed there (perhaps under a strange name). Verify that it's Status is "OK", and then highlight it and select "Properties".
The Properties dialog will allow you to test your pad and assure that all of its buttons work properly. Press each button on your pad and verify that the screen reflects which buttons you're pressing.
